–Two fifths of the Socialist vote went to the Left. Too bad no media is covering that aspect because it might undermine the ridiculous analysis that all of Europe if shifting to the right. The people of Europe are rejecting the centre-left do-nothing sell-out governments. #optimism

Spain has, without any doubt, moved Right. Yes, gains made by the Left have been at the expense of the Socialists, however, their gains were matched by the country’s Right and centrist parties. The Right has an absolute majority in Parliament, and the centrists have played musical chairs. I can’t see the silver lining in such a scenario.

It is not about silver lining, it is about the narrative of moving to the right. The shifts are not as pronounced as the mainstream media are making them out to be. It is not a wash for the Left, it is more of a rejection of the centre-left parties that continue to sell-out workers.
