–U.S. Iraq war resister Jeremy Hinzman’s appeal to Canada’s Prime Minister, Stephen Harper
Jeremy Hinzman and his entire family face deportation by the Harper government in Canada. If returned to the U.S., Jeremy faces incarceration, a court martial, up to 5 years in a military prison, and a felony conviction that is a criminal record.
Harper’s government plans to deport Hinzman and his family in spite of a motion that passed in the House of Commons (Canada’s Parliament) on June 3rd that calls for an end to the deportations and a provision that will allow Iraq war resisters to stay in Canada.
