Warning – New Brunswick tax reforms just a pig in a poke

If you haven’t, take a look at CUPE’s analysis of the proposed NB tax reform. It looks as if the government’s paper on the issue is biassed and silent on many of the expected negative outcomes of the government’s proposals. If implemented the plan would only benefit the upper income earners and the rich, while punishing the working poor, women, students, and minorities. Shame on the Graham Liberals.
The government’s discussion paper is a modern-day equivalent of this centuries-old con trick on a province-wide scale. It promises to deliver tax cuts, wealth, prosperity “and a bright future for New Brunswickers.” But the paper is misleading about the impacts and keeps the public in the dark about what is really in the bag for them.
