Venezuela: Between Ballots and Bullets | venezuelanalysis.com

Posted by Graham on 15th November 2007

–A rather interesting article about the centre and the Left in Venezuela. As the government continues to do what the majority want and deepen the democratic nature of the government in Venezuela, those that purport to be `moderates’ continue to push for militaristic `solutions’. Notice how the US style democracy always comes at the end of a gun but the peoples’ democracy comes through the ballot box in Venezuela.

STRASBOURG, France (Reuters) - European Union lawmakers will reopen an inquiry into secret CIA flights and prisons in Europe after lackluster cooperation from EU capitals and new evidence of such activities in Ukraine, deputies said.

Brown ‘putting brake on Blair’s reforms’ - Independent Online Edition > UK Politics

Posted by Graham on 13th November 2007

–We can only hope… although, I am not too optimistic. If there is any room for the old Labour MPs to build something from this and develop some public support for public investment and reducing private control of public services then they should be pushing this like mad. Down with neo-Labour. The march forwards starts with reversing the Blarite `reforms’.
