–It is unfortunate that in a time where access to information is so readily available to those in the West that some still revert back to such ignorant stereotypes of different cultures. The idea that we judge people on where they were born or the particular religious or ethnic identity that they have either chosen or were born into is disgraceful in this day an age, especially in a country that purports to `export’ our values to other areas.

In most cultures, development of civilization has a lot to do with seeking tolerance, challenging ignorance, and finding commonalities to foster peaceful co-existence. However, there are always those in powerful places that bully the weak and seek to keep this development under their iron heel. It is unfortunate that this oppression is usually backed by a corous of parrots that aggressively defend their masters’ actions.
