NDP leader criticizes Martin for tax-cut ‘game’, day after reaching deal
–The NDP are acting surprised that the Liberals are trying to play both sides. The NDP should stick it to them and call them on the changes. Their economists know that the Liberals cannot pay what they say. The people should not be fooled into thinking that the Liberals are for the people.

Hydro One talks break off
–This could be bad. The union at the power utility in Ontario has walked out of the talks. I do not care what the propaganda coming from the provincial government says, you cannot keep the power going if the workers are not on the job. It is going to be lights out for the cities if anything happens.

Eczema ointments may carry cancer risk: Health Canada
–You cannot trust anything that you get at the drug store these days. What happened to testing and why is it that we hear all our news from the US FDA? Canada should be looking into all these things as well.

Business groups slam Liberal-NDP deal
–Forget the idea that we live in a democracy. These are the people with all the power. Just after Liberals reveal that they have a deal with the NDP the business community reacts and the Liberals have to move back to the right. Is there any question who the Liberals represent anymore? The Liberals have now said that the country can have both social programmes and tax cuts for businesses. I would love to see that math that counts dollars twice.

Women’s advancement in corporate Canada ‘disturbingly slow’
–Still the glass ceiling remains. This problem is not going to go away. The system is the problem. In a system where women have to become “men” to get into positions of power it is not a wonder that more women are getting through… Although, I am not sure what difference the it makes whether it is a woman or a man that is oppressing the people as Thatcher did it just as good as any man could.

U.S. ambassador to Canada named
–The US has appointed a “longtime family friend” of the Bush’s to be ambassador to Canada. I would have thought anything to be better than Cellucci… I maybe mistaken. It is becoming a monarchy in the US.

–It has come to this. Care will be increased because a 86 year-old woman is going on a hunger strike. The Conservative governmnet in NB has got to face the facts that it is not doing what the people want.

Coca-Cola Sucking India Dry
–Yep. There goes the water. All of it going to the bottling plants to be sold back to the people for profit. I am not sure what the justification for this is. A natural product that is used up for profit. Capitalism sucks.

Government grants couldn’t secure Quebec jobs
–The government should not be giving money to companies like these. If it wants to get into the call centre business then it should nationalize them… or let them be run by the workers (although I am unsure how that would work since no corporation would send them work at the moment) . If the government was interested in keeping jobs they would go after longterm companies not fly-by-night call centres.
