–NB Teachers are in a strike position. They have no funds to support a strike but if they are going to get what they need then they will have show that they are needed in the community. The government clearly does not think so at the moment.

CBC - New Brunswick: Hometown heating oil costs more
–The fact that the market in NB is unregulated for heating oil means that NBers are paying more for their oil heat that the rest of the Atlantic Provinces. The “Free Market” is not good for the people of this province and this goes against the rhetoric of the Conservative government and industry.

–Students demonstrate for decreased tuition and more public money for education. Why doesn’t the news publish the issue instead of a demonstrator getting dragged away? This is the most bias picture that they could have put up there.

CBC News: No refugee status in Canada for U.S. soldier
–The Court has refused consciencious objector status for the US soldier that has fled to Canada. They should have ruled the other way in my opinion. Canadians think that the us is engaged in an illegal war in Iraq and we should back those that refuse to fight in it.

–Here is the news story to the Bill below. Have a read. It is a Big Brother approach to try to stop file sharing. It is Industry that wants this and it will lead the repression of free exchange of information. It will make it illegal for Canadians to swap music on-line.

CBC - New Brunswick: Weir slams Irving tax deal
–It seems that we only have a couple of people that are fighting for the people in NB any more. The tax deal for Irving should not go through. Robichaud is turning in his grave over the planned changes to the way corporations are taxed in this province.
