BBC NEWS | Health | World ’short of health workers’

Guardian Unlimited | Special reports | Ukraine vote on hold after court ruling
–It is silly. Have a look at the end of this article to see the map of the election results in the Ukrainian election. I want to see what is going on in the blue provinces with regards to protests and the like. Kiev is in the middle of the orange provinces. The world needs to stay out of it. The people will decide who the winner is and how to go about chosing that winner.

CBC News: Embattled minister promises changes to exotic dancer rules
–The fact that they are strippers should have no impact on this. If we are talking about labour then they should be let into the country. We should not discriminate based on profession. That said, what the hell are we thinking? We do not control in industry and it is ripe with abuse and subjugation, we should not be recruiting people for such an industry. If we are going to have these kind of things we have to regulate them so that the labourers are not able to be missused. That means removing the bike-gang aspect and actually examining the prostitution industry with regards to national unions.

I am not sure I buy the whole argument but there is a lot to be said about state funded media when it is done independently.
