Guardian Unlimited | Special reports | Killing of Italian journalist condemned as ‘barbaric’
–Journalists should not be the target no matter what side of the Iraqi conflict you are on. This should be condemned by both sides. The Italians along with everyone else should pull out. The arguement that the US forces need to “finish” the job they started is not one that has any rationality to it.

CANADA: Bird Flu Defeated - At High Cost
–This article raises the question of whether it was factory farming that lead to the dangers from bird flu and not the actual flu itself. If we were not using factory farming would the bird flu even had the potential to destroy the industry and would it be as much of a concern for public safety? We have not seen the right questions being raised in the corporate media over the issue of factory farming.

Yahoo! News - Green Party leader defeats challengers who say he’s too conservative
–This is rich. Harris has won a within parry vote to stay leader of the Greens in Canada. The message is that the people who are supporting the Green Party in Canada should be people from the right not the Left and that the people who were in the Greens that care about Labour and care about the environment need to join the NDP. The NDP has a much better and much more sound approach to the environment than the Greens.

CBC News: Parrish sticks by ‘idiot’ comment
–Good for Parrish. She has hit it on the head. We do not elect our MPs to sit quiet, we elect them to shout for us. Other MPs should be joining in! The missle shield is not something that can be discussed in a civilized way because the plan is to wage war against civilization. We need to express our outrage and back up Parrish. She is not the only one who thinks this plan is idiotic!
