CBC News:Layton says Martin talk of vote-splitting is fear mongering
–Layton hits back after Martin tries to tell people not to split the “left-wing vote”. Layton is right in stating that Martin has kicked out most of the left in the Liberal party. People should not believe that the Liberals speak for the Left… they speak for the business sector… always have and now even more with people like Copps pushed out of the running by Martin. The idea that Martin can even consider his “new” Liberal party even slightly left of centre is laughable. The only party with left-of-centre values is the NDP and the CPC-ML…but unless you think that a revolution is near I would suggest voting NDP.

CBC News:Liberals tell electorate not to split left-wing vote
–The CBC is not doing a very good jod of late… what kind of balance is this article? The left-vote? The Liberals are not Left…. If we want to not divide the left vote then we should all be voting NDP…. What Martin should be saying is “don’t divide the right! Don’t vote Conservative.”

rabble columns
–An interesting if not criptic look at the election for a point of view that I can only label as “it has been too long and we are going to have to do it again” and “please don’t vote for Harper”.

rabble columns
–We may not need another one, but here is an article about why not to vote Green over the NDP if you care about the environment and why to vote NDP over the Liberals. If you are still not sure I suggest you read this and then re-read the party platforms. Stopping the Conservatives is not the only reason to vote in this election… stopping the Liberals from continuing to slide right is the other.

ZNet |Terror War | Propaganda and Terrorism
–A great look at the way that 9/11 has changed the way that Canada deals with the world and its own citizens. The war on terrorism has let some of the most pro-military solution people come out in front… even though most of us do not agree with them.
The Canadian Pension Plan currently has almost $3 billion dollars invested in US and Canadian military contractors, unbeknownst to most Canadians.
